The 67th vintage of the famed ‘Black Label’ Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is from an ideal, long and cool growing season with grapes coming exclusively from some of the best parcels of its terra rossa vineyards. Youthfully crimson in colour, this 2022 has a scented nose of raspberry and cassis. The medium-weight palate is supple and balanced with fine, delicate tannins and refreshing acidity. Still in its infancy, this shows pleasingly sweet cassis, plum and raspberry flavours with a touch of violet followed by an eminently respectable finish.
